10 COLLECTOR IN WOODRUFF COUNTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

15 TAX COLLECTOR IN WOODRUFF COUNTY.

17 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

19 SECTION 1. DO NOT CODIFY.
20 (a) Effective January 1, 2027, the offices of treasurer and tax
21 collector in Woodruff County, Arkansas, shall be one (1) office.
22 (b) At the 2026 general election, the electors of Woodruff County
23 shall elect one (1) individual to serve as both the treasurer and the tax
24 collector, and the officer so elected shall take office on January 1, 2027.
25 (c) The treasurer and the tax collector in Woodruff County shall give
26 bond for the faithful performance of his or her duties as provided by law.
27 (d) The treasurer and the tax collector of Woodruff County shall
28 receive compensation that shall be determined by the Woodruff County Quorum
29 Court within the minimum and maximum compensation range prescribed by the
30 General Assembly and shall hire deputies and have other allowances as
31 prescribed by the Woodruff County Quorum Court.
