9   AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING THE ARKANSAS

10  FORESTRY COMMISSION; TO AMEND THE NUMBER OF

11  COMMISSIONERS ON THE ARKANSAS FORESTRY COMMISSION'S

12  COMMITTEE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

20 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 15-31-102(g), concerning membership of the

23 Arkansas Forestry Commission, is amended to read as follows:

24  (g)(1) The commission shall create a committee to make recommendations

25 to the commission, including without limitation recommendations regarding:

26                       (A) Rulemaking;

27                       (B) Disciplinary issues;

28                       (C) Ethical complaints; and

29                       (D) Evaluation of applications under � 17-31-101 et seq.

30  (2) The Three (3) of the registered forester members of the

31 commission designated under subdivision (f)(2) of this section and the

32 University of Arkansas at Monticello representative to the commission shall

33 be designated as members of the committee by the Chair of the Arkansas

34 Forestry Commission.

35  (3) The chair shall appoint no less than three (3) registered

36 foresters who are not members of the commission to serve on the committee.

1   (4) The Chair of the Arkansas Forestry Commission chair may also

2 designate other Arkansas-registered foresters, including those who are

3 members of the commission but are not on the committee, to serve on the

4 committee on an ad hoc basis.
