9   AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING REPORTS BY THE

10  DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

15                       THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.

17 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

19  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 2-16-310 is repealed.

20  2-16-310. Annual report.

21  The State Plant Board shall make an annual report to the Governor, in

22 which report it shall give an account of the disposition of the

23 appropriations which may be made for the purposes of carrying out the

24 provisions of this subchapter.

25

26  SECTION 2. Arkansas Code � 6-18-2103(d), concerning the annual report

27 prepared by the farm to school and early childhood education program

28 coordinator, is repealed.

29  (d) The farm to school and early childhood education program

30 coordinator shall:

31  (1) Prepare an annual report, in collaboration with

32 stakeholders, that details the program activities conducted in furtherance of

33 the following three (3) core elements of the farm to school and early

34 childhood education program:

35                       (A) School gardens;

36                       (B) Food, nutrition, and agriculture education; and

1             (C) Procurement of local farm or food products for school

2 meals and snacks; and

3             (2) Submit the annual report to the House Committee on

4 Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development and to the Senate Committee

5 on Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development.

7   SECTION 3. Arkansas Code � 15-23-1002(e)(2), concerning the annual

8 review and report on the Buffalo River Watershed Management Plan by the

9 Buffalo River Conservation Committee, is repealed.

10            (2) Conduct an annual review of the Buffalo River Watershed

11 Management Plan and include recommendations for updates of the plan and a

12 report on successes during the year, as identified by the committee, to be

13 submitted to the Governor;

15  SECTION 4. Arkansas Code � 20-60-217 is repealed.

16  20-60-217. Reporting.

17  Annually, the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture shall submit a

18 report on the operations, implementation, and administration of the State

19 Meat Inspection Program to the:

20            (1) Governor;

21            (2) Chair of the House Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, and

22 Economic Development; and

23            (3) Chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, and

24 Economic Development.

26  SECTION 5. Arkansas Code � 25-38-203(a)(11), concerning the annual

27 report by the Department of Agriculture of the department's expenditures and

28 accomplishments provided to the Governor, is amended to read as follows:

29            (11) Prepare and submit annually to the Governor a report of the

30 Department of Agriculture's expenditures and accomplishments activities and

31 programs, including information from all entities boards and commissions

32 administered by the Department of Agriculture;

34  SECTION 6. Arkansas Code � 25-38-203(a)(13), concerning the report by

35 the Department of Agriculture concerning certain boards and commissions, is

36 repealed.

1   (13) Develop a report to be submitted each year on January 1 to

2 the Governor, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic

3 Development, and the House Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic

4 Development, concerning the activities and programs of the:

5   (A) Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board;

6   (B) Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board;

7   (C) Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board;

8   (D) Arkansas Wheat Promotion Board;

9   (E) Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Promotion Board; and

10  (F) Arkansas Beef Council.
