10              KNIVES OR KNIFE-MAKING COMPONENTS; AND FOR OTHER

18 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

20  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 14-16-504(b)(1)(A), concerning the

21 regulation of firearms and ammunition by local government, is amended to read

22 as follows:

23  (b)(1)(A) Except as otherwise provided in state or federal law, A a

24 local unit of government shall not enact any an ordinance or regulation

25 pertaining to, or regulate in any other manner, the ownership, transfer,

26 transportation, carrying, or possession of:

27                              (i) firearms, Firearms;

28                              (ii) ammunition Ammunition for firearms,;

29                              (iii) or components Components of firearms,;

30                              (iv) Knives; or

31                              (v) Knife-making components except as otherwise

32 provided in state or federal law.

34  SECTION 2. Arkansas Code � 14-54-1411(b)(1)(A), concerning the

35 regulation of firearms and ammunition by local government, is amended to read

36 as follows:
