17 HAZARDOUS LIQUIDS OR CARBON DIOXIDE.

19 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

21 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 15-71-110(d), concerning the powers and
22 duties of the Oil and Gas Commission, is amended to add an additional
23 subdivision to read as follows:
24 (20) To take the following actions related to pipeline facilities used
25 in the transportation of hazardous liquids or carbon dioxide:
26 (A) Submit a satisfactory state certification;
27 (B) Promulgate rules required by the United States
28 Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety
29 Administration to assume authority over national safety standards and
30 reporting requirements; and
31 (C) Upon receiving certification, administer and enforce
32 the standards and requirements.
