9   AN ACT TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF YEARS OF

10  PARTICIPATION IN THE ARKANSAS STATE POLICE OFFICERS

11  DEFERRED OPTION PLAN AND THE ARKANSAS STATE POLICE

12  OFFICERS' TIER TWO DEFERRED RETIREMENT OPTION PLAN;

13  AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

17                       TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF YEARS

18                       OF PARTICIPATION IN THE ARKANSAS STATE

19                       POLICE OFFICERS DEFERRED OPTION PLAN AND

20                       THE ARKANSAS STATE POLICE OFFICERS' TIER

21                       TWO DEFERRED RETIREMENT OPTION PLAN.

23 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

25  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 24-6-306(a), concerning the maximum number

26 of years of participation in the Arkansas State Police Officers Deferred

27 Option Plan in Tier One, is amended to read as follows:

28  (a) The duration of participation in the Arkansas State Police

29 Officers Deferred Option Plan for active state police officers shall not

30 exceed seven (7) ten (10) years.

32  SECTION 2. Arkansas Code � 24-6-507(a), concerning the maximum number

33 of years of participation in the Arkansas State Police Officers' Tier Two

34 Deferred Retirement Option Plan, is amended to read as follows:

35  (a) The duration of participation in the Arkansas State Police

36 Officers' Tier Two Deferred Retirement Option Plan for an active state police
