21 ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST.

23 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

25 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 17-27-302, concerning the qualifications to
26 become a licensed associate counselor, is amended to add an additional
27 subsection to read as follows:
28 (e)(1) Upon application and satisfactory documentation of all
29 requirements, the board shall issue a provisional license to an applicant to
30 be a licensed associate counselor if he or she qualifies under this section.
31 (2) A provisional license under subdivision (e)(1) of this
32 section:
33 (A) Is valid for one (1) year and up to three (3) attempts
34 to pass the examination under � 17-27-306; and
35 (B) Cannot be renewed.

3 additional subsection to read as follows:

6 be a licensed associate marriage and family therapist if he or she qualifies
7 under subsection (a) of this section.
8 (2) A provisional license under subdivision (e)(1) of this
9 section:
