24 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

26 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 17-87-314(b)(1), concerning the
27 requirements to obtain a certificate of full independent practice authority
28 by a certified nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist, is amended to
29 read as follows:
30 (b)(1) The Full Independent Practice Credentialing Committee may grant
31 a certificate of full independent practice authority to a certified nurse
32 practitioner or a clinical nurse specialist who submits:
33 (A) An application;
34 (B) An appropriate application fee as determined by the
35 Full Independent Practice Credentialing Committee;
36 (C) Proof of successful completion of six thousand two

1 hundred forty (6,240) two thousand (2,000) hours of practice:
2 (i) Under a board-required collaborative practice
3 agreement with a physician; or
4 (ii) From another state, territory, or foreign
5 country that authorizes a certified nurse practitioner or a clinical nurse
6 specialist to practice with prescriptive authority if the certified nurse
7 practitioner or clinical nurse specialist:
8 (a) Has prescriptive authority in the state,
9 territory, or foreign country; and
10 (b) Provides proof of his or her licensure in
11 good standing from:
12 (1) The state, territory, or foreign
13 country; and
14 (2) The Arkansas State Board of Nursing;
15 and
16 (D) Any other relevant information as determined by the
17 Full Independent Practice Credentialing Committee.
