10  FOR OUT-OF-STATE LICENSURE ACT; TO APPLY THE

11  AUTOMATIC OCCUPATIONAL LICENSURE FOR OUT-OF-STATE

12  LICENSURE ACT TO MASSAGE THERAPISTS; AND FOR OTHER

13  PURPOSES.

17                       TO AMEND THE AUTOMATIC OCCUPATIONAL

18                       LICENSURE FOR OUT-OF-STATE LICENSURE

19                       ACT; AND TO APPLY THE AUTOMATIC

20                       OCCUPATIONAL LICENSURE FOR OUT-OF-STATE

21                       LICENSURE ACT TO MASSAGE THERAPISTS.

23 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

25  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 17-7-106 is amended to read as follows:

26  17-7-106. Exemptions.

27  (a) This chapter does not apply to licensure or certification of:

28  (1) Medical Except as provided in subsection (c) of this

29 section, medical professions under Title 17, Subtitle 3;

30  (2) Legal professionals; or

31  (3) Individuals under reciprocity agreements.

32  (b) This chapter does not apply to an existing multistate or

33 interstate compact if the chapter would result in a nullification of the

34 multistate or interstate compact.

35  (c) This chapter applies to massage therapists licensed under the

36 Massage Therapy Act, � 17-86-101 et seq.
