9       AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO

10      CONDUCT A REIMBURSEMENT RATE REVIEW FOR SUBSTANCE

11      ABUSE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION BLOCK GRANT; AND FOR

12      OTHER PURPOSES.

17                       SERVICES TO CONDUCT A REIMBURSEMENT RATE

18                       REVIEW FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT AND

19                       PREVENTION BLOCK GRANT.

21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22

23      SECTION 1. DO NOT CODIFY. Rate review for Substance Abuse Treatment

24 and Prevention Block Grant.

25      (a)(1) The Department of Human Services shall conduct a reimbursement

26 rate review for the services provided under the Substance Abuse Treatment and

27 Prevention Block Grant to determine if the reimbursement rates are adequate.

28      (2) The reimbursement rate review shall include an analysis of

29 every cost component of providing each service as the basis for determining

30 the adequacy of the reimbursement rates.

31      (b) On or before December 31, 2025, the department shall report on the

32 progress and findings of the reimbursement rate review to:

33      (1) The Senate Committee on Public Health, Welfare, and Labor;

34 and

35      (2) The House Committee on Public Health, Welfare, and Labor.
