9   AN ACT TO REQUIRE A PARTICIPATING SCHOOL UNDER THE

10  ARKANSAS CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL FREEDOM ACCOUNT

11  PROGRAM TO COMPLY WITH THE SAME STATUTORY AND

12  DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION REPORTING REQUIREMENTS TO

13  WHICH PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE SUBJECT; AND FOR OTHER

14  PURPOSES.

18                       TO REQUIRE A PARTICIPATING SCHOOL UNDER

19                       THE ARKANSAS CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL

20                       FREEDOM ACCOUNT PROGRAM TO COMPLY WITH

21                       THE SAME STATUTORY AND DEPARTMENT OF

22                       EDUCATION REPORTING REQUIREMENTS TO

23                       WHICH PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE SUBJECT.

25 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

27  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 6-18-2507(a), concerning eligibility

28 requirements for private schools that wish to participate in the Arkansas

29 Children's Educational Freedom Account Program, is amended to add an

30 additional subdivision to read as follows:

31  (14)(A) Comply with any reporting requirement under this title

32 and department rules to which a public school district or an open-enrollment

33 public charter school is subject.

34                       (B)(i) A private school shall comply with the reporting

35 requirement under subdivision (a)(14)(A) of this section within thirty (30)

36 days of the date by which public school districts and open-enrollment public

1 charter schools must comply with a specific reporting requirement.

2                           (ii) If a private school fails to comply in a timely

3 manner with the reporting requirement under subdivision (a)(14)(A) of this

4 section, then the private school is ineligible to participate in the program.
