This act amends Section 34-8-7, Code of Alabama 1975, to exempt the following services and types of work from the requirement to be licensed as a general contractor: (1) repairing a residence or private dwelling; (2) constructing or repairing a residential swimming pool; (3) pressure washing; (4) maintaining, repairing, or removing security systems, lighting, filter systems, plumbing, air conditioning, electrical systems, and existing paint; and (5) routine cleaning, waste disposal, and janitori
