What it does
This act proposes an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, to: (1) amend Section 127, to provide that when the office of Lieutenant Governor is vacant more than 60 days before the next general election, a lieutenant governor shall be elected at the general election for the duration of the unexpired term; (2) authorize the Legislature to set the amount of compensation for the Lieutenant Governor and the officers of both houses by joint resolution; and (3) require that any expenditure
