What it does

This act is the David “Mac” McElhaney and Roy S. Johnson Prostate Cancer Prevention Act. This act amends Sections 27-58-1 and 27-58-4, Code of Alabama 1975, to: (1) require health benefit plans issued in the state to cover prostate cancer screenings for men at high risk for prostate cancer and men over 50 years of age without requiring payment of a deductible, coinsurance, or copayment; and (2) define men with a close male relative who has had prostate cancer and African American men as high ris
