What it does

This act amends Sections 40-18-551, 40-18-552, 40-18-557, and 40-18-559, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the Rural Hospital Investment Program Board, to: (1) expand the definition of "utility tax" for purposes of the program; (2) move the board from the Office of the Treasurer to the Alabama Department of Revenue; and (3) further specify the utility tax payments against which a credit may be claimed. This act also repeals Section 40-18-560, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the rulemaking auth
