What it does
This act amends Sections 40-23-35 and 40-23-85, Code of Alabama 1975, to: (1) increase the amount of funds that the Department of Human Resources receives quarterly for the administration of the food stamp program from 5 percent to an amount equal to 7.5 percent of the value of the food stamp benefits issued statewide in excess of the amount paid by recipients during the prior quarter; and (2) remove the annual requirement that an amount sufficient to fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program
