What it does

This act: (1) requires the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) to issue digital driver licenses and nondriver identification cards for a fee of up to $15 to be accessed through an ALEA-approved mobile electronic method; (2) authorizes producing a digital license in lieu of a physical one when operating a vehicle or vessel and upon the demand of a government entity; (3) prohibits digital licenses as a valid form of voter identification; and (4) provides producing a digital license or card
