Enrolled SB 137 Extending the termination date of the Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives; extending the termination date of the Board of Nursing; extending the termination date of the Board of Veterinary Examiners; extending the termination date of the Board of Parole; and providing for an effective date. _______________ * Section 1. AS 08.03.010(c)(8) is amended to read: (8) Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives (AS 08.65.010) - June 30, 2031 [2025]; * Sec. 2. AS 08.03.010(c)(14) is amended to read: (14) Board of Nursing (AS 08.68.010) - June 30, 2031 [2025]; * Sec. 3. AS 08.03.010(c)(22) is amended to read: (22) Board of Veterinary Examiners (AS 08.98.010) - June 30, 2031 [2025]. * Sec. 4. AS 44.66.010(a)(2) is amended to read: (2) Board of Parole (AS 33.16.020) - June 30, 2029 [2025]; * Sec. 5. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to read: EXEMPTION FROM AS 44.66.050(e). This Act is exempt from the provision of AS 44.66.050(e) that prohibits a bill from continuing or reestablishing more than one board or commission. * Sec. 6. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to read: RETROACTIVITY. If this Act takes effect after June 30, 2025, this Act is retroactive to June 30, 2025. * Sec. 7. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
